So 2009 is coming to an end. And I was thinking to myself as I trawled through the Borders online store, "Gee! I've bought a lot of books this year." The obvious thing to do was get all the books of 2009 off my shelves, stack them on the floor and document them through photograph. And then I thought, well, since I've had lovely talking with people on my f-list about books and reading this year, that I should stick the photos on LJ. So here they are. There's a (very, I realise) slim chance that someone may find this vaguely interesting, and anyway, it makes me happy. If slightly scared I'm going to be that little old woman they find dead two weeks after the fact buried under a pile of books in her hallway half eaten away by her eleven starving cats.

Look, if you guys haven't gone and raided the GoS Secret Santa show-off thread for goodies yet, DO EET NOW. RIGHT NOW. Do not pass go, do not collect two hundred dollars. There's gorgeous things in there from needlecream and brilliantcat and a heap of others. I have grabbed SO MUCH STUFF :D

Well, I was in a happier mood before finding out Brittany Murphy died. I was pretty much her in Clueless :(

I'm on holidays! Woot! And because my life has been consumed by the steamroller that is vacation care over the last little bit, I'm spending the weekend furiously working on my gifts for the GoS secret santa. I'm hoping to throw enough stuff at them that they'll basically have to like something, because I'm still getting to know their style a bit :) Still, I'm happy with my progress and produce at this point. Since I happened to be in game taking screenshots, I thought I'd take a few minutes to give Lambert Hallows her own little photoshoot. (For those of you playing at home, Lambert is a spare from the Hallows Hallowe'en Legacy, born in engram's game.) I'm not sure why exactly, but I love this girl to itty bitty pieces. She's so unique and strangely appealing.

No more college until mid January! Hurrah. I now have been working on a few things, including these:

Sorry for the two-posts-in-one-day nonsense, but I figure some of you fine people might like to get your mitts on this as much as I did. Wish Upon A Blackstar chapter 2 came out today, and like the slavering fangirl I am, I snapped that shit up. And so here it is for you, as I've appeased my guilt by paying for it*. Again.

It's quite different in style from chapter 1-- heavier, like some of the later songs on Celldweller. I'm enjoying 'Eon' in particular (it may even temporarily depose 'Birthright' as my most-listened to, as 'Louder Than Words' did when it first came out), but they're both wonderful.

Firstly: I am aware that my foreigndestiny photobucket account is inactive. I would take care of this, except that it is one of three photobucket accounts I have, and I can't remember what e-mail is associated with it, so I can't log in and reactivate it. Balls.

Secondly: A meme about being a girl that I've seen floating around lately, because I'm bored and memes entertain me. ( Makeup, shoes, shopping! )

On the same track, I've been making eyes at Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab lately, and have decided that if I find a job soon I will reward myself with Arkham and Embalming Fluid and maybe Zombi. I am toying with the idea of purchasing Cthulhu just so I can say I'm wearing Cthulhu, but for fifteen dollars a bottle I think I'd rather have Arkham.

I mentioned this to my mother yesterday. I don't think her eyes have rolled back out of the top of her head yet.
